Team England surprise #HeadsUp with a Christmas Lunch

Supporters, volunteers and service users invited by our #HeadsUp charity partners were delighted by a surprise Christmas lunch served and hosted by Team England stars!

England players, Tammy Abraham, Tyrone Mings, Nick Pope, John Stones and Harry Winks, showed their festive spirit by treating fans to a surprise Christmas dinner at St. George’s Park as part of our #HeadsUp campaign to change the conversation on mental health.

The unsuspecting fans have each been impacted by mental health in different ways. Some have lost loved ones to suicide, and others have suffered with mental health challenges themselves. They shared their experiences with the England players as the group openly discussed the importance of talking about mental health and the positive effect these conversations can have on our daily lives.

After the lunch, Tottenham Hotspur and England midfielder Harry Winks said “We’ve got so much admiration for the people we met today. This is such an important topic to address as mental health is something that affects us all, whether you’re a professional footballer or a fan of the game, and we need to keep the conversation going”.
