The 60 Second Support series

Heads Together has brought our charity partners together to work on a new, innovative radio content series with Radiocentre, offering millions of listeners practical tips and advice to help them better support their mental health during the coronavirus pandemic.

Episode 1: Talking about Mental Health

Created for you by Heads Together

It’s a strange time for us all at the moment, and it’s normal for these changes to effect us all in different ways. However you’re feeling, and whatever you’re going through, it’s important to remember you’re not alone, and that talking about it is more important than ever.

Listen to Episode 1 of the #60SecondSupport series with mental health advocate and Heads Together supporter, Katie Piper.

More tips for Talking about Mental Health

"We know talking about mental health is not always easy. But starting a conversation doesn’t have to be awkward, and being there for someone can make a huge difference." Take a look at this tips for starting a conversation from Time to Change.

During the Heads Together campaign, we worked with the Anna Freud Centre to create these tips for talking about mental health. Whether you want to start a conversation about yourself; ask someone else how they're doing; or talk to a child or young person, there's something here for you.

If you want to talk, but you aren't sure where to turn, know that our charity partners are here for you. In 2017, we launched Mental Health Innovation who created Shout - a crisis text line service, there for you any time of day or night - no matter what you're going through.
