Frank Lampard and The Duke of Cambridge surprise football fans

Football fans watching England play the Czech Republic get a great surprise for Heads Up

As part of our Heads Up campaign with The FA, we took Frank Lampard and The Duke of Cambridge to a pub in London to surprise a group of football fans who were watching the England Game.

The fans were all people who have been supported by one of our Heads Up charity partners, CALM and Mind. Each brought with them one of their mates – someone they like to watch football with and have spoken to about their mental health.

Together, they watched football, cheered on the England team and talked mental health because it’s time we were all just as comfortable talking mental health with our friends as we are talking football in the pub.

“Suicide is still the biggest killer of men under 45 so getting everyone talking – whatever they’re going through has never been more important. No one should be suffering in silence.” – Frank Lampard

If you need to talk, but you aren’t sure where to turn, please know that you’re not alone. Our charity partners are here for you.

For immediate support, you can text Heads Up to 85258 any time of day or night to be connected with a trained volunteer who can talk to you about whatever you’re going through.
